SPIRAL welcomes two interns as part of the LAMARTRA project

Their internship at the Spiral research centre is part of the LAMARTRA project, which jointly addresses the dual labour and low-carbon transitions in Belgium. The interns will take charge of the organisation of foresight workshops aimed at revealing but also testing the futures desired by the stakeholders of the chosen sectors (agriculture and construction). In a later phase, the scenarios produced will serve as a starting point for discussions in a cross-sectoral hybrid forum. This method will aim at the co-construction of governance strategies to ensure the joint pursuit of climate objectives and a just labour transition.

Both interns are currently in the second year of the STS Master’s degree in co-diploma with Maastricht University, and are doing their Master’s thesis under the supervision of Pr. Céline Parotte. Gaizka's work focuses on the scaling-up mechanisms of hydrogen technologies, while Sacha is interested in the tacit influence of the politics of time in the decommissioning of nuclear infrastructures.
