Marhetak project restitution day on January 23 2024

Le 23 janvier 2024

The Centre régional de crise de Wallonie (SPW) in collaboration with SPIRAL (ULiège) are pleased to invite you to a day of feedback and exchange on the work carried out as part of the Interreg Marhetak program (Maas-Rhein Task Force), on Tuesday January 23, 2024, from 9am to 3pm at the Palais des Congrès de Liège (Salon Grétry).

The "Maas-Rhein Task Force" (MARHETAK) project, co-financed by the European interregional cooperation program "Interreg Europe", is part of a drive to bring together various players in the Euregio area. As part of this project, Spiral worked with the Wallonia Regional Crisis Center (CRC-W) to produce a guide to methodologically support local emergency planning for flood risk, and to help develop a risk culture in Wallonia. To develop this guide, we worked jointly with stakeholders from different countries, but also with local populations who are the first to be affected. This project therefore brings a real opportunitý to exchange best practices between different regions with a view to improving governance in the face of crises that have no borders.

To facilitate understanding of the various speakers in the 3 Euregio languages (French, Dutch and German) and to enable exchanges with participants, simultaneous translation will be provided in the room.
