The Spiral research center at the University of Liège celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2025 with a conference entitled "Radiant Futures". As part of this conference, Spiral is teaming up with the Interreg Grande Région GRACE project to offer the public a free "Toxic Cruise" in French and English. We'll be offering a critical account of the Mosane industrial valley by the water, to observe the degradation, exposure and damage suffered, but also to grasp the ghostly, restless beauty of the remnants of our regions' industrial heritage and the promise they hold. The cruise will set sail on October 10 at 3pm from the Guillemins stop on the river shuttle, returning passengers safely to the Centre-Ville stop at 6pm.
