Expertise and social policies: the role of actors and economic knowledge through the example of the implementation of the sixth state reform

Closely monitoring the aftermath of the sixth state reform, this PhD studies the way Belgium’s different public authorities managed the transfer of child allowances and fiscal competencies. This scrutiny allows her to shed light on the way intervention programs and policy instruments are designed and implanted, whilst also describing the networks actively involved in the production of knowledge (scholars, consulting firms, ministerial staff and public servants).
